All walks are free.


MAY 20 
Steeple Aston, Lower Heyford and Rousham

A 5-mile ramble led by journalist Nick Channer.  Meet 10.30am, recreation ground car park, Paines Hill, Steeple Aston. Across country to Rousham, Lower Heyford, and lunch at The Bell.  A leafy stretch of the Oxford Canal leads back to Steeple Aston by the Rousham Eyecatcher.  Maximum 20.  Book walk & lunch by email: nickchanner@freeuk.com


JUNE 7
River and Mill restoration Walk

Buscot & Coleshill Estate SN6 7PT.  Find out about the National Trust’s work restoring the River Cole and Water Mill Park.  Meet at NT Estate yard. 7pm - 8.30pm. Adult £2  Child £1. Book on 01793 762209. www.nationaltrust.org.uk

Farmoor Reservoir and its Nature Reserves  

From the 4 mile circular Countryside Walk with riverside and nature
reserve views, to the shorter trail around the wetland nature reserves and
hides, the Open Weekend will provide beauty, wildlife and special

AUGUST 4 
Sutton Courtenay and the Thames
 
Abingdon to Culham Lock and the churchyard of Sutton Courtenay. 6.5 miles, led by author Les Maple. Free. Meet at car park south of Abingdon Bridge, 10.30 am.


AUGUST 12  
Goring Walk
6-mile Chiltern & Thames walk with journalist Nick Channer, taking in the Goring Gap, Brunel's railway, wooded hills, and an evening pint at a local pub. Meet 3.30 at Goring Public Car Park (by Catherine Wheel pub).  Free.  Book by email: nickchanner@freeuk.com
